Joan asked me to quilt a couple more for her, and she brought another Carpenter Star quilt. This one is for a friend in his college colors - purple and gold. These pictures make the fabric look more blue than purple. Joan wanted to experiment with this quilt using a dark background for the quilt and lighter colors for the star. She was very happy with the result. I used a gold thread and the Fandango pattern edge to edge on this quilt. It was a wonderful combination, and this quilt looks great. You can click on the pictures below to enlarge them and get a closer look.
The second quilt for Joan that I finished this week is a sampler quilt she made for her dad. She chose a light tan thread and the design Breath Of The Gods for the quilting which kept it on the masculine side. It also is very pretty!
I really haven't been quilting or doing much sewing for my sanity lately. I'd really like to get caught up on my Snapshots Quilt Along blocks, maybe tomorrow. I hope next week I can share a project of my own with you. Thanks for visiting. I'm also linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday.
This is me...
a mom, wife, quilter, pianist, and now a school bus driver. Every day I must sew for my sanity!
