I am the proud owner of an Innova 26" longarm quilting machine! I most commonly do pantograph quilting for customers. This is an edge-to-edge technique which creates an all-over design where a printed paper pattern on a continuous roll is positioned on the table at the back of the quilting machine. A laser light on the back of the machine is then used to trace the pattern while the needle is stitching the design at the front on the quilt. This is done by hand (not computerized) using the handles in the back to move the machine. I also offer light custom quilting which is hand-guided. If this is what you are seeking we would need to discuss the details. This is also necessary if your quilt has special trims, buttons, or something similar which is often found on memory quilts.
Pantograph pricing is $0.0175 per square inch. Measure your quilt top, and let's do the math.
Custom quilting pricing starts at $0.03 per square inch.
You provide the backing and batting for your quilt. Backing and batting MUST be 4" larger than your quilt top all the way around. If your quilt measures 60 x 70, the backing and batting size needs to be at least 68 x 78. The largest size that I can fit on my frame is about 108 inches wide. If you are mailing your quilt to me, for ease of shipping and lower shipping charges I can purchase batting for you from one of our local quilt shops, and you would pay the retail price. I do not have my own supply of batting to offer for clients.
Please know that I will treat your project as if it were my own. I have been quilting for many years and fully understand the time and expense that goes into quilting - not to mention that you have most likely put great thought and loving care into making the quilt for someone special. I will do my best for you!
- Length x width (in inches) = total square inches of your quilt
- Square inches of your quilt x $0.0175 = cost of quilting
- I will be happy do quilt small projects, but minimum charge is $40.
