Another Big Star!
Today I returned this beautiful quilt to a client named Terry. She has done several Carpenter's Star quilts already, but she tried something different with this one. She pieced a ribbon border around it which really makes it special.
The fabric prints that Terry used are Aesop's Fables Toile from Penny Rose Fabrics. The background and backing fabric is off-white muslin. I quilted with a very light tan thread and an edge-to-edge design called Enchant. I think it coordinates with the fabrics perfectly.
I had a really hard time with lighting and getting these photos, but above you can see how nice that border is. Excellent job, Terry! It was a pleasure quilting for you again.
You guessed it... I'll be linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend! (Be sure it includes some quilting :-)

Love the ribbon border. It appears to be rounded and curving, is it hard or is it an illusion created with rectangles?

Hi Aunt Sharon. It is all pieced triangle units.
