Not too long ago I finished quilting this beauty for my Aunt Alice. Aunt Alice has a special knack for finding treasures at yard sales and flea markets, and this unquilted appliqued quilt top is one of her amazing finds. It is all hand appliqued and embroidered. I don't even feel right telling you what she paid for this! You'll have to ask her if you want to know. This quilt is king size - it's big! I used a cream colored thread and the Swift edge-to-edge pantograph design. I think it looks good and doesn't overpower the applique design. Here's a peek at the backing fabric. Hopefully the dear woman who made this top and put hours and hours of hand work (nearly invisible teeny tiny stitches) into it would be very pleased to see it finished and loved and used.
Thanks for letting me quilt for you, Aunt Alice! I'll be sharing over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. Thank you for visiting.
