Welcome back! It's been several weeks since my last post because life has been so busy here. That doesn't mean I haven't been quilting, though. I have been quilting like crazy, and today I'll share with you a quilt of my own that I just love. I'm calling this quilt "Best Friends" because that is what these two jelly rolls have become. All stitched together they just bring out the best in each other. You can read about how I pieced it in a January 2015 blog post here. Having said that, it isn't hard to figure out that this top has been sitting around for about a year and a half before it finally got quilted! And there is the whole finished quilt. I worked on the color placement a lot, and I think the colors are what make this quilt so special. The setting triangles around the outside are a Kaffe Fassett fabric that seemed to tie the Kona solids and Kate Spain/Moda prints together pretty well. I quilted it with white thread on my Innova longarm machine and used the pantograph design Asian Maple. The backing fabric is a purple wide back print from Connecting Threads, and the binding is the Kaffe Fassett print again. I entered this quilt in the Saxonburg Arts Festival Quilt Show happening this weekend in lovely Saxonburg, PA. I'm hoping to sell it, so please contact me if you are interested. I entered another quilt, too, and maybe I'll show it to you next week.
Thanks for visiting and reading. I'll be linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. Have a great weekend!

Cam - Yes, I think that is the one. The original post about piecing this quilt in more detail can be found here http://www.terrifaustquilts.com/terris-blog/a-beautiful-friendship
