I joined The Little Foot Quilt Shoppe's Saturday Sampler Club in August, and this is the only thing I actually finished this week. I turned this (above).... into this (below)... I chose the traditional color option to challenge myself because it is out of my usual color selections. Notice there is no purple, turquoise, nothing that looks like a rainbow! The quilt is called Bountiful Baskets, and this particular block is an old traditional one called Cake Stand. I love it! I'll get block 2 to make next week.
I've been longarm quilting this week, too, but now that we have the first week of school out of the way (and first week of my new job) hopefully I can get back into some kind of a routine. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend to include much quilting. Please take time to visit Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday if you can. I'll be linking up over there. Have a great week!

I also find it fun to differ from my norm at times! Keeps it interesting! Great job on a beautiful traditional block!

I choose the brighter color scheme. This is not my usual color choice but I'm very happy with my blocks. I'm glad I decided to go with something different. Who knows, this could be my turn in the road!

I really like how your blocks turned out, Terri. I have not thought about this block in ages. It happened to be one I made years ago when I started quilting. I remember mine were scrappy. I may have to revisit this block. I look forward to seeing your other blocks.
