I'm still working away on client quilts. On Memorial Day I finished the above wall hanging for Jan. It was a perfectly appropriate quilt for the day. Jan made 6 of these wreath wall hangings using her stash fabrics. They are made with pineapple blocks using the paper piecing method. If you want to learn how to piece a wreath wall hanging, those friendly gals at the Little Foot Quilt Shoppe can help you. I quilted them all with an overall stipple design. They really looked great, and now Jan has a lot of binding to do! Hmm.. I can't seem to get that one ornery wreath to turn the right direction, but you get the idea. Jan also had a table runner for me to quilt. Very pretty! I quilted a Jelly Roll Race quilt for Mary. Mary made this as a graduation gift for her granddaughter to take to college. I loved the modern color combination and fabrics she used. I quilted it with the Spring Thing pantograph and a dark gray thread. You can see in the close up pictures how the thread looks dark on the light fabrics and light on the black backing fabric. I think it's so cool how that happens. Lastly for today, I have been working on a couple of quilts for Joan. This one is made up with really sweet light colored prints. I quilted using a light blue thread and a new pantograph called Enchant. I am really happy with this new design. I complements the nice soft look of the quilt. Today I plan to finish up the second quilt for Joan - another Carpenter's Star! For this quilt Joan chose a blue thread and the Curly Hearts design. I think it's looking good so far. These gorgeous stars are popping up everywhere here in Butler. In fact, I think Mom, Aunt Brenda, and I might be making our own Carpenter's Stars soon. Thanks so much, ladies, for letting me quilt for you!!
I'm liking up with Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. Have a great Friday, and thanks for visiting :-)
