I have a couple of finishes this week that just need binding. They are baby quilts, 36 inches square, with a giant churn dash design which can be found in the book "Simply Retro with Camille Roskelley." I have plans to make all the patterns in this book. I like them a lot because they are "fresh quilts from classic blocks" as it says on the cover. This red and blue one has a cute shark flannel on the back. The second quilt is orange and blue and also has a snuggly flannel on the back with little robots. Both are quilted with a pantograph called Spring Thing. I am so happy with the way these little quilts turned out. If you are looking for a fast and easy baby quilt, I highly recommend it. I also love that supersizing this traditional block gives it a more modern look. On a side note, I will admit that I had my first longarm quilting injury and stitched through the side of my finger on this project. It happened so fast I didn't even have time to bleed on the quilt. It was both scary and painful. I'm linking up with Finish It Up Friday at Crazy Mom Quilts.
You can head over there to check out some other finishes from all over the world! Have a great day!

What beautiful quilts! I love them both! I have that book by Camille and want to make every quilt in there, too. The flannel on the back is a really nice touch. Ouch! I have done that one too - stitched through the side of a finger with the longarm needle. Hope your finger heals soon!
