Happy Hearts

This week I was excited to see that Lella Boutique is hosting a contest with a fabulous list of prizes!  Click here to go to the site and read the details.  I decided to participate because I would LOVE to win a copy of Vanessa's book "Charm School."  So I purchased one of her patterns - Open Heart - and dug around in my batik collection and got started.  (Patterns on her site are 25% off with the discount code!!)

The instructions were very clear and detailed, a very nice pattern.  I made 4 hearts and put them together.  Each block is 12".

I haven't made anything with bright batik fabrics for a while, and I forgot how much I like them.  So I'm calling this 24" square wall hanging Happy Hearts because it made me happy to sew them.  Can't wait to quilt it!
