You're finally here! As I am sitting here typing away I hear the birds chirping outside my window. It's wonderful! Today I finished the binding on one of the two table runners that I made from this sweet Vintage Picnic fabric line by Bonnie and Camille for Moda. I started with a Cutie Pack (a precut fabric pack of 16 fat eighths) that I got from The Little Foot Quilt Shoppe. I added some yardage for a border and the backing. I am a little short on the binding fabric for table runner #2, so I'll have to go fabric shopping :-) This table runner pattern is the one I taught at our church sewing/quilting group. The pattern is called Hobo Rails - a scrappy version of the traditional rail fence pattern. You can find the pattern on Craftsy here. In between client quilts I did some custom quilting on these with cream thread. I really like how they turned out. They will be teacher gifts at the end of the school year. Here are some pictures. I like the back as much (maybe even more than) the front! The prints in this fabric line are so happy and fun to work with. Below is another sample of the same pattern that I made for the class. I quilted it on my regular sewing machine with straight lines in a grid, and it gives the table runner a whole different look. It even makes the piecing look a little different. That's the cool thing about quilting. Have a great day, and thanks so much for visiting.
I'm linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday.

Nice try, Mrs. Bittel :-) It's been a rough year, and I'm so thankful for Lydia's caring teachers!
