Joan asked me to quilt a couple more for her, and she brought another Carpenter Star quilt. This one is for a friend in his college colors - purple and gold. These pictures make the fabric look more blue than purple. Joan wanted to experiment with this quilt using a dark background for the quilt and lighter colors for the star. She was very happy with the result. I used a gold thread and the Fandango pattern edge to edge on this quilt. It was a wonderful combination, and this quilt looks great. You can click on the pictures below to enlarge them and get a closer look. The second quilt for Joan that I finished this week is a sampler quilt she made for her dad. She chose a light tan thread and the design Breath Of The Gods for the quilting which kept it on the masculine side. It also is very pretty! I really haven't been quilting or doing much sewing for my sanity lately. I'd really like to get caught up on my Snapshots Quilt Along blocks, maybe tomorrow. I hope next week I can share a project of my own with you. Thanks for visiting. I'm also linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday.

After school starts, maybe we could work on the Carpenter Star?
