I'd like to show you two of the latest quilts I finished for clients. I see a variety of styles of quilts, and these contemporary ones were so different and fun to work on. The first one belongs to Katie. She made this one for her son's bed. I quilted it with the Bauhaus pattern and light gray thread. Her little boy loves maps, and he was more excited about the back of the quilt than the front. Yes, that is the backing fabric, the large map print. So unique! Great job, Katie! Next up is a baby quilt made by Sherri. It is a traditional pinwheel, but Sherri's fabric choices make it modern, I think. The white is actually one of the "grunge" fabrics. I quilted it with the Pretty Paisley design and a taupe colored thread. You can see a little before and after in the picture of it being quilted and how the quilting can really change the whole quilt. It is very feminine and soft. Beautiful quilt, Sherri! Thanks for having me quilt for you, ladies!
I have a gorgeous log cabin quilt on my machine right now. Come back and visit next week to see it. I'll be linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
