Hello! Today I have a couple more quilts to show from our family's Quilt Camp 2016. You can read a little more about that and see my mom's quilt here. This is a pattern made with the Scrap Crazy 6" templates from Creative Grids and the pattern "Cruisin Under The Stars" - templates and pattern both designed by Karen Montgomery. This first one belongs to my Aunt Sharon. Sharon used a bunch of blue batik fabrics that she had on hand and paired them with a pink/coral fabric for contrast. Looks great! I quilted it with a matching teal blue thread and the Hollyhock pantograph design. Sharon made some practice blocks to help her decide which colors to use, and she pieced the quilt back using those. I told her I just may like the flip side better!! Next is Aunt Alice's quilt. This is where it is so fun to see the same quilts made with different fabric selections. Alice's pinwheels are the green fabric, but the other batik prints are so bold that they stand out more and create a different pattern, leaving the green pinwheels to look like the background (at least in my eyes). Isn't that cool? I quilted Alice's with a pink thread and the Exquisite panto design. The outside border fabric is lovely on this one. Thanks, Aunties, for letting me quilt for you :-)
I'll be sharing these fabulous finishes over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. See you next week!
