Hello friends. I made some wonderful new table runners to share with you. I just love making table runners because they can be finished quickly and I get to play with different fabrics that I find interesting but maybe not my usual preference - without the big commitment of a large quilt. You'll quickly notice that these range from traditional designs and colors to very modern ones! These two were made using the Moda fabric line Alice's Scrapbag which has beautiful prints and colors. The background was a tea dyed looking fabric which coordinated perfectly with the prints. I custom quilted these with a tan thread that matched the background. I really loved the way they turned out. Then there are the modern ones! Now these wouldn't match anything in my home, but I do love the modern look of them and the bold colors. I also just really wanted to make something with the Modern Background prints from Moda. Grunge fabric was a very good complement to the white and gray fabrics. I quilted these with straight line quilting, just the right thing for this contemporary style. These table runner patterns were designs from Anka's Treasures, designed by Heather Peterson. I'm a big fan of her books, patterns, and quilting style. You can find them on her website, and I do know that the Little Foot Quilt Shoppe in Evans City, PA, carries The Trendy Table book. I'm looking forward to trying some other designs from that book. These table runners are up for sale and were added to my Etsy shop today. I hope to be adding more Christmas table runners soon also.
Thanks for visiting. I'll be linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday. See you again soon!
