Today I have a couple of awesome quilts to show! One belongs to Jenny and the other to Donna. They are quilting buddies that took a class together at The Little Foot Quilt Shoppe. The quilts they made challenged them to use up scraps and fabric from their stashes. It's a treat to see the same quilt pattern made up using different fabrics. I'm sure you'll enjoy them! The first is Jenny's quilt. She used bright, vibrant colors. I quilted it with white thread and the Pretty Paisley panto design. The pieced border makes this pattern really special. Next you'll see Donna's quilt. She chose more traditional colors of browns, burgundy reds and greens. All of the fabrics were from her stash except the background. The Moda Grunge does a great job of bringing all the other prints together. I quilted Donna's with a golden brown thread and the Flowerumpus design. Wasn't that fun? I hope you are inspired to make something with the collection of fabrics you have at home already (it's okay if you have to buy some background fabric:-), quilt with a friend and make the same pattern each with different fabric choices, or sign up for a quilt class at your local quilt shop!
Thanks for visiting! I'll be linking up over at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday.

Both very beautiful quilts! Shows how different choices of fabrics/colours can make one pattern look so different.

I love to see different variations of the same quilt design too. It's amazing how different they can look. There is a blog where they do that each month with mini quilts but I can't remember the name of it. I especially love the colors of the first one. Found you through Crazy Mom Quilts.
