The one positive spin I can put on all of this winter weather is that I don't have to feel bad about staying inside and quilting! I am almost finished quilting this customer quilt for Clarice. It is a queen size black and white quilt. I really like black and white, and this one is very pretty. It is difficult to see the quilting because of the variety of prints, but it is looking good! Clarice chose the Fluffy Clouds pantograph. One more row of quilting and it will be all done! I'm also catching up with the Winter Mystery Quilt I've been piecing from The Quilt Company. This is going to be pretty. Mom, Aunt Brenda, and I are each making one. I'll share more details about this project in the future when we get them finished. For now there are 12 blocks, and I have pieced the sashing and need to put it all together. I have some fabric left over, and I'm considering adding something special for a border. ![]() This is the Winter Mystery quilt from 2013. The top was made with fabrics all found in my giant stash. Yes, it is still a work in progress. I actually have the backing ready to go. Still deciding on how to quilt it, but it will be in the frame soon. Today I am linking this post up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. You can go there and see what other quilters are working on, too. Have a wonderful day!!

Thanks, but actually I didn't pick the fabrics for the winter mystery. That was part of the mystery. We had an idea of the color scheme when we purchased the mystery kit, but the fabrics were sealed in a paper bag so we didn't know exactly what we were getting. It was a lot of fun!

I had to look twice at the first quilt photo because I thought it was a black & white photo! I love the strong graphics of the quilt on the frame and the cool blues and yellows of your winter mystery quilt.

It is funny you said that! Someone else told me they thought it was a black and white photo also.
