I really like these table runners, but I like even more the fact that they are almost done! They just need binding added which is currently in process. There are four table runners: One with a yellow stripe, one with a red stripe, and two with turquoise strips. Each will get binding fabric which is the same as the stripe. I have had this pattern for a while now, and so I decided to make one using a jellyroll, and I chose the Moda fabric line Chantilly. The pattern is called Bejeweled, designed by Karen Montgomery of The Quilt Company. I also used some of my Creative Grids rulers for cutting all those triangles. Each table runner has 186 little triangles! You can make four table runners using one jellyroll. There are a lot of pieces, but if you follow the directions, especially the pressing directions, it pieces together pretty easily. I quilted them on the longarm. This was a first for me. I have been doing small projects on my little Janome, but it was really easy doing these on the longarm, and I got to practice some free motion quilting which was very fun! I'm very happy with how the quilting looks on these. Tonight I'll be tucking the kids in bed and hand stitching the binding as I watch some TV, maybe an episode of Sherlock. I watch almost no TV all week long, so on Friday and Saturday nights when I don't work, it is a real treat for me to watch whatever I want. Something else I am excited about is a new book and template set I got today. It's brand new, and I love the possibilities for quilting with these. I'm itching to try them out, probably tonight after dinner. Don't forget to check back to see what happens with them! It's Friday, so I'll be linking up with:
