There are many changes happening around here with me and my family (all good stuff!) and things are feeling a little crazy lately, but I still have lots of quilting going. This beautiful star wall hanging belongs to Janice. She let me choose the design and requested a light colored thread. I used my Honeysuckle pattern. Unfortunately, the picture below makes the pink part look lighter than it is in person. Wow - I think it turned out so pretty, and it is so nice how the quilting stands out in the center of the star, don't you think? Below is another quilt I finished. This one belongs to Kay. I didn't get a chance to take more pictures, but Kay was very happy with her finished quilt. The thread was golden brown, and the pantograph is called Exquisite. Again., the coloring in this picture makes the background fabric look kind of green, but it is actually a nice gold. The colors are warm and rich on this quilt, just beautiful. It was a pleasure to work on these lovely fabrics. Thanks for letting me quilt for you, ladies! I thought it would show you one of our changes going on. We are taking some time to fix up the basement quilting studio. It has been 2 years since the Innova came to live with us. I am thankful everyday that I am able to quilt on this machine! Here's a picture from July 20, 2013, the day we brought it home and got it all set up. Could not have done it without Dad and Uncle Dave!! This week we have been working on more cleaning, painting, and getting ready to install some cabinets we have had stored away. My husband has been painting all morning. The ugly cement wall is slowly disappearing! He is getting this part done so I can get another quilt loaded up. Can you spot that bright gold/orange spool of thread on the machine? I just finished another quilt with that color, but you'll have to wait until next week to see it.
Thanks for stopping by! You can also visit Crazy Mom Quilts Finish It Up Friday to see some other quilty finishes. Have a great week!
